POLICIES
Assessment and certification
To receive a certificate of completion, the learner must complete the required theory and submit the requested practical evidence. Evidence may include clear photographs or video showing consultation, preparation, sectioning, placement, application and the finished result. Work that does not yet meet the course standard may be returned with feedback and an opportunity to resubmit during the access period.
The course is accredited by ABT. Learners who successfully complete the course requirements and practical assessment will receive a digital certificate issued by House of Swain Education confirming successful completion of the ABT-accredited training. Learners should retain their certificate and confirm any additional requirements directly with their chosen insurer before offering the service commercially.

Terms and Conditions

1 The contract
The course description, price, these terms and the order confirmation together form the agreement between House of Swain Education and the named learner. The contract begins when payment is accepted and an order confirmation is issued. We may decline or cancel an order before access is supplied if payment is not authorised, the listing contains an obvious error or we reasonably suspect fraud or misuse. Any payment received for a cancelled order will be refunded.
2 Learner eligibility
The learner must be at least 18 years old, or have the written consent of a parent or legal guardian where enrolment by a younger learner is accepted. The learner is responsible for checking that the course is suitable for their experience, professional goals and insurer’s requirements. Practical work must be carried out safely on an appropriate training head or consenting model.
3 Course description
The course is delivered through pre-recorded video lessons and digital resources. The sales page and order confirmation will state the main content, current price, access period, support and any physical items included. Minor improvements may be made to lessons or resources where these do not materially reduce the course purchased.
4 Price and payment
The course price is £195 and no separate deposit is required. Payment may be made in full or through Klarna at checkout where offered.
Klarna is a separate payment provider and any instalment or credit arrangement is between the learner and Klarna, subject to Klarna’s approval and terms. If a refund is legally due, it will be processed through the original payment method and Klarna will adjust the learner’s account in accordance with its procedures.
5 Digital access
Course access is provided for 12 months from the date login or access instructions are issued. The learner is responsible for supplying an accurate email address, checking junk folders and contacting us promptly if access details are not received.
Access is licensed only to the named learner. Login details, videos, manuals, downloads and other materials must not be shared, copied, recorded, resold, published or made available to another person. We may suspend access while suspected misuse is investigated and may permanently withdraw access for a serious or repeated breach.
6 Immediate digital access and cancellation
At checkout, the learner requests immediate access to the course and expressly consents to the digital content being supplied immediately. The learner acknowledges that the statutory right to cancel the digital-content element is lost once supply begins.
This does not remove any statutory right or remedy where the course is faulty, materially misdescribed or not supplied with reasonable care and skill.
7 Refunds
Once course access has been issued following the learner’s express consent and acknowledgement, the purchase is non-refundable for a change of mind. This is because access to the complete digital course materials has been supplied and cannot be returned.
Refunds will remain available where required by law, including where paid digital content is faulty, unavailable for an unreasonable period or materially different from its description and the applicable statutory remedy is not provided. Requests should include the learner’s name, order details and a clear explanation of the issue.
8 Tutor support
Online tutor support is available for 90 days from enrolment through the support channel stated in the welcome information. Support is intended for reasonable questions about the course content and assessment. It does not include unlimited mentoring, urgent or out-of-hours responses, business consultancy, medical advice or advice about a live client who may require professional or medical referral.
9 Assessment and certificates
A certificate is issued only after the required learning and practical assessment have been completed to the stated standard. Submission of work does not guarantee a pass. Learners may be asked to resubmit evidence where safe practice, placement, finish or evidence quality does not meet the course requirements.
This course is accredited by ABT. After successfully completing the required learning and practical assessment, the learner will receive a digital certificate issued by House of Swain Education confirming successful completion of the ABT-accredited course. The learner remains responsible for confirming any additional requirements set by their employer, local authority or chosen insurer.
10 Safe and professional practice
Learners must follow the consultation, contraindication, hygiene, application, maintenance and removal guidance taught in the course. They must work within their competence, obtain informed consent, keep appropriate records and refer a client to a suitably qualified professional when a condition falls outside their competence.
Course information is educational and is not medical advice. A learner must not diagnose a medical condition or fit extensions where the client is unsuitable.
11 Insurance and commercial use
Before charging for services or working on members of the public, the learner must obtain any licences, permissions and professional insurance required for their circumstances. The course is ABT accredited, but learners remain responsible for confirming cover directly with their chosen insurer. We do not guarantee employment, clients, income or any particular business outcome.
12 Intellectual property
All course videos, text, diagrams, manuals, templates, branding and other materials are owned by or licensed to House of Swain Education. Purchase grants the named learner a limited, personal, non-transferable right to use the materials for their own learning and professional reference during the permitted access period.
No material may be copied for another learner, used to create or deliver training, uploaded to social media or another platform, translated for redistribution, sold, sublicensed or commercially exploited without prior written permission. Learners may use unbranded client forms supplied for that stated purpose in their own service business.
13 Technology
The learner needs a suitable internet connection and compatible device. We are not responsible for problems caused by the learner’s device, software, connection, email filtering or third-party platform settings.
Where the course platform has a material technical fault, we will take reasonable steps to restore access or provide an appropriate alternative. Planned maintenance and short interruptions do not automatically entitle the learner to a refund.
14 Conduct
Communication with tutors and other learners must remain professional and respectful. Harassment, discrimination, threatening behaviour, attempts to obtain unauthorised access, sharing another person’s work as one’s own or deliberate misuse of course content may result in suspended or withdrawn access. Where proportionate, we will explain the concern and allow a response before a final decision.
15 Liability
We do not exclude or limit liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or the learner’s statutory consumer rights.
Subject to those rights, we are not responsible for loss caused by the learner’s failure to follow the course guidance, work outside their competence, obtain insurance, perform an appropriate consultation or use products and tools safely. If the learner purchases wholly or mainly for business purposes, we will not be liable for indirect loss, loss of profit, loss of business, loss of opportunity or loss of anticipated savings.
16 Personal information
Personal information will be used to process enrolment, provide course access, administer assessments, issue certificates, provide support and comply with legal obligations. Further details should be set out in the privacy notice available at checkout or on the website.
17 Complaints
A learner with a concern should contact House of Swain Education through the contact details shown on the website or order confirmation, giving their name, order number and a clear description of the issue. We will acknowledge the complaint and aim to provide a substantive response within 14 days. If more time is needed, we will explain why and give an updated timescale.
18 Events outside our control
We will not be responsible for delay or failure caused by circumstances outside our reasonable control. We will take reasonable steps to reduce the effect, keep affected learners informed and restore delivery as soon as reasonably possible. This does not affect statutory rights where the course cannot be supplied.
19 Changes to these terms
The terms applying to a purchase are those provided or made available when the learner places the order. We may update terms for future purchases. A change will not retrospectively remove rights or materially reduce the course already purchased without the learner’s agreement.
20 Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. A consumer may bring proceedings in the courts of the part of the United Kingdom in which they live where applicable.
Course Consent

I to request immediate access to the digital course. I understand that once the digital content is supplied, I will lose my statutory right to cancel the digital-content element and the purchase will be non-refundable for a change of mind. I have read and agree to the Terms and Conditions.
